The Community Supports Network, Inc. (CSN), is a strengths-based, multi-state organization whose Mission it is to support people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health needs to reach their goals to live, to work, and to contribute to their community.
CSN is looking to contract with a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide strengths-based training and on-call support to unlicensed direct support staff. Contract Registered Nurse position is approximately 10+ hours/week. With on-call availability throughout the week, weekends, and holidays.
The Contract Nurse will be responsible for:
- Delegation of duties to trained and competent staff within the scope of practice as allowed by state statute and regulation.
- Competency verification for staff and directing and monitoring for the provision of medications by Medication Aides, which may include written instructions, on-site training and/or phone consultations.
- Written instructions, Care Planning, training, and competency verification for staff related to the health and medical needs of people receiving support, which may include on-site training and/or phone consultations.
- Duties and additional activities within the scope of practice.
- Monthly quality assurance reviews and reports.
- Completion of monthly and annual Health Risk Screen Tool (HRST)
What do I need in order to be qualified?
Have an active RN license in the state of Missouri, have the ability and availability to be on-call and take phone-calls throughout the week, weekends, and holidays from agency staff and the ability to work as a part of a team to provide guidance, support and inspire confidence in others to move them to action.
Desired qualifications:
- Experience in the field of intellectual disabilities and/or mental health services.
- Experience in coaching others to achieve high-quality health outcomes, training, quality assurance and nursing systems in multiple states.
