Oaklund Medical Group is seeking an experienced, professional, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. We are a private medical practice consisting of one physician and two nurse practitioners, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a welcoming and compassionate environment.
Located in Huntley, Illinois, our office operates Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Receptionist Job Duties:
- Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors
- Schedules appointments
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of all personal/financial information at all times
- Maintains effective and efficient patient flow for the office
- Answers a busy multiline phone
- Insurance Verification and update patient demographic information
- Collect and process payments/co-pays
- Corresponds with other medical offices, hospitals, nursing homes
- Generates referrals through multiple platforms
- Fax medical records/other
- Scans and processes medical records
- Contributes to the team effort to provide an excellent work environment and great patient experience.
Medical Receptionist Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with medical referral processes and coordination.
- Working knowledge of insurance plans, including PPO, HMO, Medicare, and commercial insurance plans.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, including greeting patients, answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in and out while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and patient service.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in small and high-volume medical practice.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems required; EPIC experience strongly preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
