Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for meal service
- Support kitchen staff with food handling duties, ensuring proper storage and adherence to food safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas, including countertops, sinks, and storage spaces
- Follow all safety guidelines related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation
- Assist with catering setups and serving duties as needed to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Help manage inventory by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels or shortages
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking basics is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Experience in restaurant or kitchen environments demonstrates strong food industry understanding
- Skills in knife handling, meal preparation, and general culinary tasks are highly valued
