American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring ACLS, PALS, and Epic experience, with comfort caring for both adult and pediatric populations across pre-op and Phase I & II recovery.

Hospital-based PACU setting spanning 34 ORs across 2 floors, supporting all major surgical and procedural services except patients requiring critical care

Cares for adult and pediatric patients across pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery stages
-
1st floor includes 6 ORs, 2 cystoscopy suites, a pediatric GI/Lithotripsy room, and prep/recovery for CT/MRI — high pediatric volume

2nd floor includes 28 ORs servicing Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Pulmonary Lab cases
-
Special procedures include regional anesthesia and ECT

Equipment used includes Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and AccuVein

Epic EMR experience required

Patient ratio of 1:2

Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

2–3 weekends required per contract

Floating to the pediatric PACU required as needed

Active LA or compact RN license required

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

PACU or pre/post-op nursing experience strongly preferred

Epic EMR experience required

Must be comfortable caring for patients of all ages, including pediatric populations

Candidates must live 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted

RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process

Upon accepting this assignment, you may be assigned to an emergency response team and expected to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team during an emergency event — candidates who are not comfortable with this expectation should not apply
