Savvy Staffing is hiring an experienced Metal Fabricator for a well-established and expanding manufacturing company in Cumberland, RI. What You'll Do
- Set up workstations, materials, and equipment for daily production.
- Operate and support fabrication equipment, including:
- Amada Press Brakes
- PEM Machines
- Spot Welders
- Assist with workflow coordination and support team productivity.
- Train and mentor new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and manufacturing processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and production processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure production goals are met.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support manufacturing operations.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in metal fabrication or a related manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator, Production Lead, Production Supervisor, or similar manufacturing role preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 35+ pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while operating machinery and performing fabrication tasks.
