Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Weekend Rotation: As Required by Department

MedOp Solutions is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This position offers the opportunity to care for a diverse cardiac and medical patient population in a 28-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit, providing specialized monitoring and treatment for patients requiring a higher level of care than a medical-surgical unit.
The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac assessment skills, telemetry experience, and the ability to care for complex patients in a fast-paced stepdown environment.

- Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:4–5

- Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Heart Failure
- Stroke overflow patients
- Progressive care/stepdown patients requiring continuous monitoring
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for progressive care and cardiac patients
- Perform ongoing assessments and continuous telemetry monitoring
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac treatments
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge planning
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Recent Progressive Care (PCU), Stepdown, Telemetry, or Cardiac nursing experience preferred
- Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac assessment skills
- Experience caring for medically complex patients
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring
- Standard progressive care equipment
- Department-specific orientation provided prior to independent assignment
- Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Weekend rotation as determined by department needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Holiday coverage as scheduled by the department
