Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Commercial/Restaurant Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene of commercial and restaurant environments. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and other commercial spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols and handling procedures
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning machinery to maintain high standards of floor care and sanitation
- Conduct custodial duties such as trash removal, surface disinfection, window cleaning, and detailed sanitation tasks
- Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs and ensuring facilities are well-maintained and safe for all users
- Follow strict safety guidelines during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, safety checks, and equipment maintenance
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and related tools
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents
- Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and chemical safety practices
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and clients when needed
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
