Spivey Services is a leading provider of traffic safety and sanitation solutions in Virginia, offering traffic control, equipment rentals, and portable sanitation services—including restroom/shower trailers, hand-wash stations, and toilet accessories.
The Sanitation and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing our sanitation operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will lead a team of service managers, drivers, and yard personnel, coordinating daily activities to meet customer needs and operational goals. This role involves reviewing operational paperwork, implementing standard procedures, and developing staff to enhance performance. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining safety programs, managing resources effectively, and fostering excellent customer relationships. Strong leadership skills, knowledge of sanitation equipment, and the ability to adapt to changing environments are essential for success in this position.

Direct oversight of service & delivery drivers, rental fleet, yard personnel, and warehouse

Review paperwork including delivery/ pick-up tickets, routing sheets, etc.

Monitor service levels and deliveries to ensure the most efficient practices

Recommend measures to improve operational practices and quality of customer care

Work directly with other divisions and offices to ensure efficient coordination of assets

Resolve customer service & delivery issues

Maintain proper staffing levels to meet and exceed customer and division needs

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for training service & delivery drivers

Review and approve time punches prior to submitting for payroll processing

Review and approve time off request forms and schedule time off based on operational necessity

Administer the company's safety program and coordinate training, as necessary

Develop employees and conduct periodic performance review

Operate a variety of company vehicles and be comfortable with pulling trailers

Perform other duties as assigned

Exposure to managing budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective operations

Familiarity with sanitation equipment, including but not excluded pump trucks, toilet trailers, portable toilet units, etc.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal sanitation regulations related to waste management

Valid Driver License (Class C)

Lift up to 40Ibs from waist to shoulders
