Job Summary
Concourse Diagnostic and Surgery Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our clinical team. The CNA will assist nurses with basic patient care, patient transportation, room preparation, supply restocking, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
This position is ideal for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, communicates professionally, and is committed to providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with changing, walking, positioning, toileting, and other basic care needs
- Transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher throughout the surgery center
- Assist with patient preparation and discharge activities under the direction of a licensed nurse
- Obtain and document vital signs when trained and directed
- Promptly report patient concerns or changes in condition to the assigned nurse
- Prepare patient beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, and clinical areas
- Clean and disinfect patient care equipment and surfaces
- Restock supplies and notify staff when items are running low
- Follow hand hygiene, infection control, and patient safety requirements
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Participate in staff training, meetings, emergency drills, and required competencies
- Perform additional duties within the CNA’s training and permitted scope of practice
Qualifications
- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant certification
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- Ambulatory surgery center, hospital, clinic, or recovery room experience is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to assist with patient transfers and repositioning
- Ability to push wheelchairs, stretchers, and supply carts
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
