Job Summary
Mighty Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager / Fleet Mechanic to oversee and maintain our growing fleet of approximately 60 Ford Transit and service vehicles. This individual will be responsible for preventative maintenance, safety inspections, minor repairs, vendor coordination, and ensuring every vehicle is safe, clean, reliable, and ready to serve our customers.The ideal candidate has strong mechanical experience, preferably with Ford Transit vans, excellent organizational skills, and understands the importance of minimizing vehicle downtime.

Requirements
- 5+ years of automotive repair experience
- Strong preventative maintenance knowledge
- Experience with Ford vehicles
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Strong Computer skills - Ability to utilize fleet management software and Microsoft Excel/Office for data analysis and reporting.
- Valid driver's licesne with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Ford Transit repair experience perferred.
- Fleet Management experience preferred.
- Welding/fabrication experience preferred.
- Electrical diagnostic experience preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance
- Perform scheduled oil and filter changes.
- Rotate and replace tires.
- Inspect and replace brakes.
- Replace batteries.
- Replace belts, hoses, filters, and fluids.
- Perform cooling system maintenance.
- Perform transmission and differential fluid services.
- Replace windshield wipers.
- Replace exterior and interior lighting.
- Maintain DEF systems (diesel vehicles if applicable)
Fleet Management
- Develop safety monitoring program and perform monthly safety inspections on every vehicle including
- Maintain maintenance schedules for all vehicles, including tracking of mileage, maintenance history, warranty information, registration, insurance, license plate renewals, vehicle down time, etc.
- Maintain complete service records for every vehicle.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for major repairs, glass replacement, and warranty work.
- Maintain a clean and organized fleet shop, including parts inventory, oil inventory, filters, batteries, breake inventory, fluids and tires.
- Ensure all vehicles are washed regularly, have clean interiors, no damaged decals and maintain Mighty branding standards.
- Report body damage immediately
Minor Repairs & Technical Support
- Provide technical support including installing and mataining ladder racks, shelving, drawer systems, power outlets, GPS units, tool storage, etc.
- Perform in-house repairs including: brake jobs, battery replacement, alternators, starters, water pumps, radiators, thermostats, sensors, ignition components, door handles, lighting repairs and more.
Daily Responsibilities
- Review fleet maintenance schedule
- Complete scheduled services
- Respond to technician vehicle issues
- Inspect vehicles returning from major repairs
- Maintain maintenance records
- Order necessary parts
- Perform vehicle safety inspections
- Coordinate repairs with operations
Weekly Responsibilities
- Inspect fleet health report
- Review upcoming maintenance needs
- Check tire inventory
- Audit vehicle cleanliness
- Review open repair orders
- Verify registration and insurance compliance
- Report fleet status to management
Monthly Responsibilities
- Complete full safety inspections on every vehicle
- Review maintenance costs
- Analyze vehicle downtime
- Prepare replacement recommendations
- Audit fuel usage
- Review accident reports
- Inspect shop inventory
- Meet with Operations Manager regarding fleet performance

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
