Duties
- Provide high-quality animal husbandry, ensuring the comfort, safety, and hygiene of all pets in our care.
- Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint and handling during examinations and treatments.
- Monitor the health and behavior of boarding and hospitalized animals, reporting any abnormalities to the medical team immediately.
- Maintain a sterile and organized facility by cleaning kennels, runs, and common areas according to hospital protocols.
- Assist with basic pet grooming and maintenance, including bathing and nail trims.
- Support administrative operations by maintaining accurate animal care records and assisting with inventory management.
Skills Required
- Previous experience in a kennel or animal handling setting is preferred; professional experience with safe animal restraint techniques is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict safety and sanitation protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor when interacting with pets and their owners.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
- A foundational understanding of animal behavior and a strong desire to learn and grow within the veterinary field.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
