About UsA Taste of Austria brings traditional, mouth-watering European delicacies to major holiday festivals. This November, we are returning to North America's premier holiday market, the Official Southern Christmas Show. We operate three high-traffic, fan-favorite culinary booths at the event:
- Helmut’s Strudel: Serving our famous authentic Austrian puff pastry strudel an desserts.
- Helmut’s Savories: Offering delicious, warm gourmet savory pastries.
- Opa Franks Würstel: AKA "Big Franks" Dishing out traditional, savory German 1/4 Kosher angus beef Frankfurt sausages and Austrian Bratwurst.
About the Event
The Southern Christmas Show runs from November 12–22, 2026. For over 50 years, this massive event has welcomed hundreds of thousands of guests to shop, eat, and celebrate the season. It is a fast-paced, high-energy environment filled with festive music, holiday cheer, and very hungry crowds! This year, the show is open all day on Wednesday, November 11th for a special Veterans Day opening.
Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking Direct Customer Sales Representatives to join our seasonal event team. In this role, you will be the face of our booths, providing fast, friendly service to thousands of holiday shoppers. You will rotate across our three booths as needed, working closely with your team to deliver an excellent guest experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Sales: Greet guests cheerfully, answer questions about our authentic menu, and serve hot food efficiently.
- Point of Sale (POS): Operate a touch-screen Square checkout system to quickly process cash and card transactions.
- Booth Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food service station according to health guidelines.
- Teamwork: Actively assist your team with daily setup, regular restocking, and end-of-day booth cleaning.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
- Availability: Must be available for required paid team training on Tuesday afternoon, November 10th, and have a flexible schedule for the duration of the show's run (November 11–22, 2026).
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods and work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Friendly, reliable, and possessed of excellent communication skills. Experience with Square POS is a plus.
- Screening: Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. [1]
Schedule & Application Info
- Show Dates: November 11 (Veterans Day Opening) through November 22, 2026.
- Daily Shifts: Will align with Southern Christmas Show Hours (typically Sunday–Wednesday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Thursday–Saturday 10:00 AM–9:00 PM).
