Position Summary
The Warehouse Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing all outbound shipping operations while leading and supporting the warehouse team. This individual will ensure customer orders are picked accurately, loaded safely, and shipped on time while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily shipping operations.
- Coordinate order picking, staging, loading, and deliveries.
- Ensure all customer orders are complete and accurate.
- Train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce company safety policies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
- Work closely with the sales team and receiving department to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor productivity and recommend process improvements.
- Help resolve shipping discrepancies and customer concerns.
- Perform other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse leadership experience is required.
- Shipping or distribution experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts (certification preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
- Dependable with an excellent attendance record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Comfortable working in hot and cold warehouse conditions throughout the year.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
