Overview:
Little Mountain Preschool is a nature inspired, play based, community preschool looking for Early Childhood Teachers to join our team! As a teacher at Little Mountain Preschool, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and providing them with a nurturing and loving environment. We are looking for teachers who enjoy the outdoors and are able to bring their love for nature inside the classroom. It is important that our teachers create a space where children feel free to be kids and enjoy getting messy while having lots fun!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Conduct assessments to monitor each child's progress
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and milestones
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in early childhood education
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and standards
Experience:
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred but not required
-Colorado Shines PDIS Certificate preferred but not required
-Able to pass all required background checks per Colorado licensing rules
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of literacy education, toddler care, behavior management, special education, childcare, lesson planning, curriculum development, and child welfare
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
