The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead electrical design efforts for moderate to highly complex building projects, providing technical leadership from concept through construction. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, oversee project quality and delivery, and play a key role in mentoring junior engineering professionals.
You'll work on the design of power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, UPS infrastructure, renewable energy integration, and medium-voltage electrical systems across a broad range of project sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical system design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for building projects
- Produce detailed engineering documentation using industry-standard design tools and software
- Conduct site assessments and prepare technical reports and recommendations
- Review designs, calculations, specifications, and project documentation to ensure quality and code compliance
- Mentor, train, and develop junior engineering staff
- Support project budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning efforts
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence required
- 7+ years of experience within the building design consulting industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical building systems, power distribution, lighting, circuit theory, power systems, and electronics
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, or mission-critical projects
- Familiarity with IES standards and industry resources including NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and FGI Guidelines
- Experience with Master Specifications, eSPECS, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with industry design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and AGi32
