We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing independent insurance agency in Hutchinson, Kansas. This position is ideal for a customer-focused insurance professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships while providing exceptional service to commercial insurance clients.
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing an established book of business by providing outstanding client service, coordinating policy renewals, processing policy changes, assisting with claims, and working closely with producers to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned book of commercial insurance accounts.
- Serve as the primary contact for commercial clients regarding coverage questions, policy changes, and service requests.
- Process policy endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and certificates of insurance.
- Review insurance policies for accuracy and completeness.
- Work closely with producers to retain existing business and identify opportunities for additional coverage.
- Assist clients throughout the claims process by providing timely support and communication.
- Build strong relationships with clients to promote long-term retention.
- Maintain accurate client records within the agency management system.
- Stay current on commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Commercial Lines insurance experience (2+ years preferred).
- Active Kansas Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
- Working knowledge of commercial insurance products, including:
- Commercial Property
- General Liability
- Commercial Auto
- Workers' Compensation
- Business Owners Policies (BOP)
- Umbrella Coverage
- Experience handling policy renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and client service.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with an insurance agency management system preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with agency team members.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
