Position Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for learning and safely operating the machines in the selected department. This position plays a key role in quality assurance and size verification of finished products, assisting the packaging team with finished goods, communication for safety and maintenance needs. The machine operator works closely with the department manager to follow the production timeline, and focuses on maintaining a productive, organized, safe, and respectful work environment.
Responsibilities
· Operation of machine(s) in Napkin department
· QA to ensure napkins meet company quality standards
· Supervision and guidance of the packaging crew assigned to the machine.
· Communication with the manager on the upcoming production timeline.
· Collaboration with the Maintenance team on machine operation or maintenance needs
· Follow established cleaning procedures to maintain quality.
· Assist the packaging crew as needed to support efficient production flow.
· Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Previous Machine Operation experience
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with color accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality standards
- Self-motivated and organized to think ahead on tasks
- Strong communication and ability to function with a team
