Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Appliance Technician to join our Install and Service team. This role involves high end appliance installation, installation troubleshooting, custom panels, and basic mechanical and electrical appliance repair for a variety of household and commercial appliances. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, some electrical and mechanical, and refrigeration knowledge, along with excellent customer service skills. This position offers the opportunity to work in the field, providing essential install services directly at customer locations using a box truck or similar vehicle. Prior experience in appliance installations, appliance repair, HVAC, or equipment repair is highly valued.
Duties
- High-End Appliance Installations at residential and commercial locations
- Diagnose and repair appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and other household or commercial units
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs utilizing specialized tools and equipment
- Assemble or replace appliance components and parts efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used
- Use electronic tablets to complete work-orders, review schematics, and manufacter install and repair manuals
- Assist with delivery and pickup of appliances when necessary using a box truck or similar vehicle
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in high end appliance installation, repair or related field service roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Electrical experience relevant to appliance systems
- Delivery driver experience with familiarity operating box trucks preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot installation and minor repair issues efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
