Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems across various facilities. Responsibilities
- Install, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic networks, structured cabling, Ethernet, and telecommunication systems.
- Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to ensure high-quality data transmission.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, and telecommunication testing equipment to identify issues and verify system performance.
- Terminate cables including Cat5, Cat6, and other structured cabling to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Conduct radio frequency (RF) testing and equipment troubleshooting to optimize wireless communication systems.
- Assist with the installation of AC/DC electrical systems related to low-voltage infrastructure using hand tools and power tools.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical information clearly and resolving client issues efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience in field service roles involving low-voltage electrical wiring, network installation, or telecommunications systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configurations, Ethernet cabling, and network wiring standards.
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, fiber optic system installation, and telecommunications testing equipment.
- Familiarity with VoIP telephony systems such as Avaya or similar platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters effectively.
- Experience working with Cisco routers, Juniper devices, or other networking hardware is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) testing techniques for wireless communication systems is a plus.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
