Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Associate with CDL, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless transportation to and from our local two locations as need. This position combines hands-on manufacturing tasks with professional commercial truck driving local routes and specialized cargo handling. You'll operate company truck and equipment, adhering to strict safety standards and regulations to deliver hazardous and non-hazardous materials efficiently. When product does not need to be transported, you will work in the warehouse assisting with our manufacturing operations. Duties
- Load and unload cargo using forklift, manual handling techniques, or specialized equipment while ensuring proper cargo securing for transport
- Manage logistics cargo handling by loading, securing, transporting, and unloading freight with attention to safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, shipments, load manifests, and compliance records
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations before departure
- Communicate effectively with management regarding route updates or any issues encountered during transit
- Ensure adherence to all safety procedures during manual handling, truck loading/unloading, and vehicle operation
- In addition to driving, you will learn to operate CNC Machines and work with the manufacturing team inside the warehouse when product does not need to be transported
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL license (Class A preferred), including route driving experience in various environments
- Clean driving record
- Experience with forklift operation for large cargo handling is a plus
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing experience required
