BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR

Job duties:
- Produce parts which meet customer specifications, setting up the machine, deciding which brake dies to use, reading and interpreting blueprints, and calculating bend deductions.
- Ensure correct materials are used on each job by verifying materials prior to beginning production.
- Ensure parts are fabricated correctly by performing the first piece check and submitting it to quality assurance for inspection prior to running the entire job.
- Ensure efficient and timely processing of various job orders by organizing work to be performed according to complexity, materials used, anticipated completion time, etc.
- Ensure safe and efficient brake operation by performing daily maintenance and minor repairs on machine, observing safety standards, and by notifying supervisor when major repairs and needed.
Skills/Requirements:
· Experience operating a brake press or equivalent (at least one year)
· Previous experience with a Trumpf, Amada, or Cincinnati Brake Press desired
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints
· Strong attention to detail and efficiency
