Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other menu items with precision and care, adhering to food safety standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Toast, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handle cash transactions accurately, and process payments using POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food preparation zones in compliance with health regulations.
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and packaging materials to ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout shifts.
- Assist with food handling duties including slicing meats, preparing vegetables, and assembling ingredients swiftly for high-volume service.
- Support team members by bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring overall restaurant cleanliness for a welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is highly preferred; culinary or café experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are essential.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with an energetic attitude that creates a positive dining experience.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment comfortably.
- Experience in cashiering, upselling techniques, and retail math will be advantageous.
