Position Summary
The Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and supportive services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. This role assists patients with activities of daily living while promoting comfort, dignity, safety, and independence in accordance with the individualized Plan of Care.
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and skin care.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, ambulation, range-of-motion exercises, and other approved therapy-related activities.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition when needed.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, when assigned and competency validated.
- Assist patients with self-administration of medications as directed.
- Observe, document, and promptly report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation according to agency standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team communication.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and professional standards while providing patient care.
Qualifications
Required
- Current California Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Valid California Driver's License
- Reliable transportation with current auto insurance
- Ability to travel to patient homes within assigned territories
- Ability to read, follow written instructions, and accurately document patient care
- Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Registration on the California Home Care Aide Registry
- Previous Home Health, CNA, Hospital, Assisted Living, or Skilled Nursing experience
- Bilingual is a plus

Physical Requirements
- Ability to assist with patient transfers, mobility, ambulation, and personal care.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift as needed during patient care.
- Ability to safely perform assigned duties in patients' homes.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
