L & L Sales and Service, Inc., a pioneering leader in the agricultural industry, is actively seeking a self-motivated Parts and Service Manager. This full-time role comes with a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package. We provide a diverse range of products to meet our customers' needs, including: concrete and building construction, manure handling equipment, feeding equipment, freestalls, gates, ventilation systems, mattresses and waterbeds.
Duties
· Act as lead person for coordinating and scheduling all service and installation work.
· Coordinate daily activities of service and installation crews.
· Answer phone calls, provide technical advice, communicate between technicians and customers, prepare and present service orders.
· Ask appropriate questions to determine the best solution and correct parts for customers’ parts and service needs.
· Communicate with customers the current status of their service work.
· Communicate with customers, sales team and management on the current status and time frame of installations.
· Unload, go through and check-in orders, verifying they match packing slips and purchase orders, when they arrive. Put away inventory and/or match and stage product with current projects.
· Pull, stage and load inventory and/or product for service and installation work.
· Assure the shop is neat, clean and in compliance with governmental regulations, safety guidelines as well as company policies.
· Share the responsibility of after-hours service calls.
· Use Sage 100 ERP software to create invoices for parts counter sales and to maintain accurate inventory counts and locations.
· Attend department meetings
Skills / Experience
· Three to five years of previously related experience preferred.
· Knowledge of farm equipment (specifically the equipment listed above) required.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
· Ability to use a computer and current software programs required.
· Sitting-standing for prolonged periods of time, ability to lift up to 25 pounds often and between 50 – 75 pounds occasionally
· Excellent communication skills
· Valid driver’s license preferred
