The PHP/IOP Program Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, clinical integrity, and overall effectiveness of the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) within a substance use disorder treatment facility. This role provides leadership and supervision to clinical and support staff, ensures compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards, and promotes high-quality, evidence-based care for clients in recovery.
The Program Director manages program development, staff scheduling, performance oversight, census growth, and client retention while fostering a safe, structured, and supportive therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include supervising treatment planning, group programming, documentation compliance, utilization review, and coordination of care with internal departments and external referral sources.
This position works closely with therapists, case managers, medical providers, and executive leadership to ensure seamless delivery of services and continuity of care from admission through discharge. The PHP/IOP Program Director also supports staff development through training, mentorship, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, organizational skills, crisis management, and a deep understanding of addiction, recovery principles, co-occurring disorders, and trauma-informed care. Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
