American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3 years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Combined adult/pediatric general Emergency Department setting
-
Level II Trauma Center that is also STEMI and Stroke certified
-
Patient ratio of 1:4
-
Night shift schedule with alternating 3x12 and 4x12 hour shifts (18:00-06:00) on a 36/48 hour alternating pattern

Epic charting system experience preferred
-
or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 3 years of ER experience required (2 years accepted if from a high volume/trauma facility)

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
-
Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC, MAB
-
Level II Trauma Center experience preferred

Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Skilled in emergency medications including IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation
-
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation

Experience managing pediatric and adult emergency conditions including respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases

Experience with shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
-
Skilled in triage and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
-
Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies

Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for any positive result

Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility and local candidates are not accepted

Must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer

License must be in-hand prior to start date
