Tank's is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Welder / Hardfacing Technician to join our maintenance team. This position plays a critical role in keeping our recycling and landfill operations running by repairing, fabricating, and hardfacing our fleet of heavy equipment and industrial grinders.

Perform welding repairs on heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, grinders, screeners, trailers, roll-off containers, and other equipment.
Perform daily hardfacing and rebuilds on industrial grinders at the end of each production day to restore worn components and prepare equipment for the next day's operation.
Hardface wear plates, grinder hammers, buckets, cutting edges, and other high-wear components to maximize equipment life.
Fabricate replacement parts, structural components, guards, brackets, and other steel assemblies as needed.
Repair cracked, broken, or damaged equipment using MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding processes.
Rebuild worn equipment by reinforcing structural steel and replacing worn materials.
Work closely with mechanics to diagnose equipment issues and minimize downtime.
Safely operate welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Assist with preventative maintenance and special repair projects as needed.
3+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
Experience repairing heavy equipment used in construction, mining, recycling, aggregates, or similar industries.
Experience with hardfacing and wear-resistant welding techniques strongly preferred.
Proficient in MIG, Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Core (FCAW) welding.
Ability to fabricate components from measurements or sketches.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license required.
Experience rebuilding industrial grinders, crushers, shredders, or screening equipment.
Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
