Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Transmission Installer/Mechanic to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing transmissions and related powertrain components across a variety of vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal vehicle performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Must have experience, must have own tools, must have a valid driver's license.
Pay is depending on experience .
Duties
- Diagnose transmission issues using automotive diagnostics tools and interpret schematics to identify root causes.
- Install, repair, and overhaul manual and automatic transmissions on a wide range of vehicles, including GM models and heavy-duty trucks.
- Perform engine system repairs, including diesel engine maintenance and automotive electrical system troubleshooting.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to execute repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting operations to prevent injuries.
- Strong knowledge of automotive engine systems, powertrain components, and automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS technology integration and diagnostics is preferred.
- Familiarity with schematics reading, automotive wiring diagrams, and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools effectively.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous but not mandatory.
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
