SUMMARY: Full time Staff Assistant for the offices of Financial Aid. This position is located in Tonkawa but assists students with financial aid needs for all locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include: Responsibilities include greeting students, answering phones, and overseeing the record keeping processes in the financial aid office including supervising the student workers in the office and monitoring the receipt of documents required to complete student files.
- Answer general questions regarding the financial aid programs available
- Refer students or parents to the appropriate individual for more specific questions
- Process incoming Institutional Student Information Records ( ISIRs)
- Process Match Records in J1 and transfer student information into PowerFAIDS
- Upload documents into student files
- Scan and index documents
- Assist financial aid counselors as needed on specific projects.
- Maintain job manual for position with regular updates to describe processes when substitutions are needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must have strong public relations skills and a demonstrated ability to speak and write effectively. Good computer and organizational skills are required. Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure that includes a criminal background check.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum educational level of an Associate degree and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
