Position Overview
The Food Service & Housekeeping/Facility Associate is a full-time position responsible for helping maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and welcoming warehouse environment. This role supports two key areas: Food Service/Inventory Management and Housekeeping/Facility Support. Food service responsibilities include monitoring breakroom inventory, ordering and replenishing food, beverages, kitchen supplies, and paper goods, using technology to manage ordering and inventory records, and identifying cost-effective purchasing practices. Housekeeping and facility responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility to support a safe, attractive, and well-maintained workplace including a weekly workflow plan to support consistent facility upkeep.
Primary Responsibilities
A. Food Service/Inventory Management
· Use strong organizational skills and basic technology skills to coordinate, order, and purchase food and beverage supplies through approved vendors, websites, and applications, while maintaining appropriate stock levels and controlling costs. Complete in-person shopping as needed.
· Monitor inventory levels for breakroom food items, including frozen, refrigerated, and shelf-stable products, as well as beverages, coffee supplies, energy drinks, sodas, water, and paper products.
· Track inventory usage and maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records.
· Receive, inspect, and organize deliveries, and physically shop for or pick up orders when needed.
· Rotate stock using first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices.
· Keep breakroom areas clean, stocked, and organized throughout the workday.
· Coordinate with management regarding purchasing needs, inventory priorities, and budget considerations.
· Maintain and clean the breakroom and kitchen areas daily, and complete related duties as needed.
B. Housekeeping/Facility Support
· Maintain the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the warehouse and breakroom by completing daily housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, baseboard cleaning, trash removal across departments, office blind cleaning, wall spot cleaning, scuff mark removal, and other upkeep duties needed to support a safe and sanitary facility.
· Clean and sanitize three restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, countertops, fixtures, and walls affected by wall-mounted hand dryers.
· Order cleaning supplies and paper products for the facility, ensuring restrooms and shared areas remain properly stocked and refreshed.
· Empty trash in all areas daily, dispose of waste properly, and complete additional facility support duties as needed.
Qualifications
· Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and professionally.
· Basic computer and mobile device skills, including the ability to place orders, track inventory, and use related applications or websites.
· Previous experience in hospitality, inventory management, stocking, custodial work, warehouse operations, or facilities support preferred. ServSafe certified, preferred.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
· One to two years of hospitality experience preferred.
· Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
· Professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
· Comfortable handling logistics, physical tasks, and detailed cleaning responsibilities.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
· Trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, and dependable.
· Must successfully complete a background check.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
· Ability to safely use cleaning supplies and related equipment.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a warehouse setting and requires regular movement between the breakroom, storage areas, restrooms, and workspaces.
Employment Type: Full-time, standard 40-hour workweek, 5 days per week; typical hours are 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional flexibility based on business needs.
Salary: $35,000–$38,000 per year / salaried position
