POSITION SUMMARY:
- We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, and automated production machinery.
- The ideal candidate is safety-focused, self-motivated, and committed to maximizing equipment reliability while minimizing downtime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Install, wire, and upgrade industrial electrical systems and automated controls.
- Troubleshoot and program PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley 500 and 5000 platforms.
- Install, maintain, and repair AC/DC drives, motors, control panels, relays, and electrical components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain electrical spare parts inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA, and company safety procedures.
- Communicate equipment status and repair progress during shift changes.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts safely when required.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment performance.
- Respond to emergency equipment failures and support planned shutdowns as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and repair records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and AC/DC drive systems
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical motors, control circuits, sensors, relays, VFDs, and industrial automation systems.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and industrial safety standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
