American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient position requiring outpatient clinic and acute care experience, with a Virginia PT license required if applicable.

Work primarily in an outpatient clinic setting with monthly weekend coverage in acute care
-
Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM

Weekend coverage required once per month

Epic EMR experience preferred
-
May be required to work one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff

Virginia Physical Therapy license required if applicable

BLS certification required
-
DPT or Master's degree in Physical Therapy required

Outpatient clinic and acute care experience required
-
Prior travel experience preferred, ideally 1 year
-
Epic charting experience preferred

Skilled in orthopedic assessment and treatment including gait training, spinal mobilization, and post-op rehabilitation

Experience with therapeutic modalities such as cryotherapy, e-stim, moist heat, TENS, and ultrasound

Proficient in documentation including evaluations, plans of care, and reassessments

Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and home exercise program development

Treats orthopedic conditions such as ankle sprains, low back pain, osteoarthritis, and post-surgical rehabilitation cases

Works with adaptive and assistive devices including walkers, gait belts, and sliding boards
-
Provides patient and family education as part of care plan

Facility permits one call-off shift per two weeks
-
All RTO requests must be submitted upfront

Does not accept first-time travelers

Does not accept local candidates within 100 miles of the facility

Previous employees must have a minimum one-year break before returning as a traveler
