You’ve Been Out a Few Years. You’re Good at This Now. And You Keep Having the Same Thought.
Not on the hard days.
On the good ones.
When you figure out something another clinician missed, help a patient finally turn the corner, and then look around at how the clinic is run and think:
I’d do this differently. I’d do this better.
Then the thought usually dies where it always dies.
You’ve never seen a P&L.
You don’t know what credentialing actually takes, how reimbursement really works, what hiring costs, what happens when the schedule falls apart, or how much cash it takes to keep a clinic alive while it grows.
So you file ownership under “someday” and go back to your caseload.
At Propel Physical Therapy Services, we would rather teach you how the business works before you have to learn it by making expensive mistakes with your own money.

What You Will Actually Learn Here
Beyond becoming a sharper clinician, you will get exposure to the business side of Physical Therapy.
The real thing.
Not a sanitized version.
The Numbers
You will learn how to understand the financial side of a clinic, including:
- P&L
- Payer mix
- Reimbursement per visit
- Cost per visit
- Arrival and cancellation rates
- Monthly break-even
- Clinic profitability
The Systems
You will see how the pieces of the practice fit together:
- Scheduling and capacity
- Revenue cycle
- Credentialing
- EMR
- Compliance
- Clinic operations
- What works, what breaks, and how to fix it
The People Part
You will learn what it takes to lead a team, including:
- Hiring
- Onboarding
- Setting expectations
- Coaching
- Accountability
- Navigating difficult conversations
Because treating patients is only one part of running a clinic.
Growth
You will also gain exposure to:
- Physician and referral relationships
- Community partnerships
- Employer relationships
- Marketing
- Patient acquisition
- Clinic growth
Direct Access to Ownership
You will have opportunities to learn directly from the owner and ask the questions most clinicians never get to ask.
What worked?
What failed?
What did that mistake cost?
What would you do differently?
The Path Is Defined
Strong Clinician → Leadership Responsibilities → Clinic Director → Equity and Ownership Opportunity
As Propel continues to grow, there is a real opportunity for the right clinician to grow with it.
Within the next one to two years, you should have a much clearer idea of whether ownership is genuinely something you want.
And you can figure that out before risking your own money, signing a lease, or trying to build a clinic from scratch.
If you go through the process and decide you would rather remain focused on patient care, that is a good outcome too.
It is better to know.
The Clinical Work
You are still a Physical Therapist first.
You will provide one-on-one care to active adults, athletes, runners, golfers, and patients who want to move better and get back to doing what they enjoy.
Your work may include:
- Manual therapy
- Dry needling
- Corrective exercise
- Strength and mobility training
- Comprehensive movement assessment
- Orthopedic rehabilitation
- Sports rehabilitation
- Return-to-activity progression
- Individualized patient education
You will have real autonomy over your plan of care and the ability to think clinically rather than simply follow a protocol.
