The Working Supervisor ensures satisfactory cleaner performance, inspection of work locations and management of work schedules. The role will also be responsible for finding coverage in cases of absence. The Working Supervisor ensures all cleaning equipment is well maintained and safe for use as well as checking the stock levels of cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment. The Supervisor must be hands-on and be able to perform cleaning duties as required. Additionally, the Working Supervisor is responsible for completing administrative operations duties such as tracking of work hours, review of payroll reports etc.
This role will act as a liaison between the client and the company and will be responsible for effectively directing, managing, training, and re-training cleaners as needed. The Working Supervisor will exercise good judgment in a variety of situations. Multi-tasking, team building as well as strong leadership skills are a must. Other critical success factors for this role include creative thinking skills, maintaining a positive attitude, self-reliance, flexibility, and professionalism under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to be on call for emergencies or assistance 24/7.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to best fit the facility's needs and other building leadership.
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and manage time without direct supervision.
- Provide training to new hires and follow up on performance evaluation.
- Re-evaluate the employees’ skills and performance, as necessary.
- Enforcement of the Employee Handbook rules and regulations.
- Proper documentation of issues and conversations to be reported to upper management.
- Record and address any attendance issues. Report findings to the proper channels prior to addressing with the employee.
- Completion and forwarding of incident reporting forms to required departments.
- Responsible for maintaining a first-class operation, delivering superior service to internal and external clients.
- Review weekly payroll reports for accuracy.
- Manage the schedule of daily and periodic activities as well as special events and report accordingly.
- Work with our outside vendors when required.

- Daily inspection of work locations and reporting as needed.
- Monitor and follow up on compliance with cleaning procedures, workplace safety, and specifications.
- Monitor cleaning material stock level and re-order materials as needed.
- Submit daily cleanliness report.
Qualifications for a Cleaning Team Supervisor:
- High school diploma.
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Thorough knowledge of residential and commercial cleaning services.
