Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a pristine, welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained, providing a high standard of cleanliness that enhances the comfort and satisfaction of residents, clients, or visitors. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the overall hygiene and appearance of our facilities.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface cleaning to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Implement proper sanitation procedures for bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas to ensure health and safety compliance.
- Manage floor care routines such as sweeping, polishing, carpet cleaning, and floor stripping to maintain a polished appearance.
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items efficiently.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning detergents safely to achieve optimal results while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct outdoor work as needed by maintaining entrances, walkways, and outdoor communal areas in a tidy condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients or residents regarding cleaning schedules or specific requests to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as inventorying supplies and maintaining cleaning schedules to optimize workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within residential or commercial settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures along with proper use of cleaning detergents and equipment.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete assignments promptly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents.
- Experience in outdoor work environments is a plus for maintaining exterior areas.
- Familiarity with carpet cleaning techniques and floor care methods is desirable.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
