Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or catering operations.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and organizing supplies.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support cooks and kitchen staff.
- Help with bussing tables during peak hours to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever necessary within the kitchen operations.
