Line Cook – Repeal
Repeal, a downtown Salt Lake City restaurant, cocktail bar, and live jazz venue, is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in consistency, organization, execution, and presentation and can perform effectively in a busy dinner-service environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Repeal's recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistent quality, portioning, and presentation on every plate.
- Keep assigned stations stocked, organized, clean, and ready for service.
- Complete required prep and station setup before service.
- Maintain freshness and proper storage of food products.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team during service.
- Work efficiently and maintain quality during high-volume periods.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, and kitchen-cleanliness standards.
- Complete closing and cleaning responsibilities at the end of the shift.
- Support the kitchen team as needed to ensure smooth service.
Schedule:
The normal schedule for this position is approximately 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
Start and end times must be flexible based on prep requirements, business volume, closing responsibilities, and operational needs. The days and schedule may also change as business needs change.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen/line-cook experience required.
- Current Utah Food Handler Permit required.
- Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday evenings and remain flexible with scheduled hours.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
