Job Summary
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in operational analysis and modeling & simulation to support a high-impact Department of Defense program evaluating the effectiveness of current and future combat systems. This role focuses on campaign-level analysis and constructive modeling of combat operations to help inform modernization and acquisition decisions across the defense enterprise.
In this position, you will work alongside a highly technical team using advanced analytical tools to assess how force design, basing strategies, and multi-domain operations influence the outcomes of long-duration, theater-level campaigns. Your work will directly contribute to analysis used by senior defense leadership to shape future capabilities and operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct operational analysis of combat weapon systems using modeling and simulation tools
- Develop and evaluate campaign scenarios assessing force package design, order of battle, and basing strategies
- Use tools such as Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling and THUNDER to analyze large-scale combat operations
- Develop scripts and analytical workflows using tools such as MATLAB and other data analysis tools
- Process and interpret modeling outputs to generate insights on operational effectiveness
- Support technical analysis used to inform DoD modernization and acquisition decisions
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and operational experts across the program
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related STEM field
- 5+ years of experience performing DoD operational analysis or modeling and simulation
- 5+ years of experience using scripting or programming languages for analytical work
- Knowledge of U.S. and foreign combat weapon systems, including aircraft and ground-based air defense systems
- Experience supporting theater-level or campaign-level analysis
Preferred Experience
- Experience using Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling
- Experience with campaign modeling tools such as THUNDER
- Background in operations analysis, modeling & simulation, or defense systems engineering
- Experience working in classified DoD environments
Pay: $165,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
