Job description:
We are looking for someone who prioritizes superior customer service above all else. Your role will involve cleaning residential homes, businesses, or offices while maintaining a clean and tidy environment. You will also be expected to anticipate customer needs, provide personalized and detailed service, and build lasting relationships with our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Clean residential homes, businesses, or offices in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Perform thorough cleaning tasks based on the specific needs of each client, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Vacuum or mop the floors to remove dirt, dust, and debris, leaving them spotless.
- Clean and disinfect the toilets, making sure they are free of stains and odors to achieve a fresh and welcoming environment.
- Dust surfaces, including furniture, shelves, and decorative items, to maintain a tidy appearance throughout the house.
- Move reasonably small furniture as needed to facilitate cleaning.
- Scrub surfaces to remove stains or buildup, using appropriate cleaning techniques.
- Empty the trash cans and dispose of waste in a sanitary manner, keeping the premises clean and free of odors.
- Cleaning upholstered furniture, removing stains and maintaining its overall cleanliness to improve the comfort of our customers.
- Wash, fold and organize clothes as requested by customers, ensuring that their garments are handled with care.
- Change the bed linens.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored for efficient operations.
Requirements:
- Hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy individual with a strong work ethic and a consistent record of punctuality and attendance.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a process-oriented mindset.
- Positive attitude who works well as part of a team.
- Ability to lead a team and supervise their work effectively.
- Flexible working hours, usually 9 to 5, but may vary daily.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues in English.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic technology such as smartphones, tablets and computers.
- Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record with a valid license.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (verification will be conducted).
Skills/Requirements:
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques and products to handle different surfaces and materials effectively.
- Previous experience in professional cleaning services is preferred, demonstrating your knowledge and skills.
- You must have reliable transportation to travel between customer locations and arrive on time.
- Demonstrates a reliable personality and flexibility in scheduling to adapt to the client's needs.
- Physical requirements: Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, squat, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Great attention to detail, ensuring that all areas are thoroughly cleaned and that no detail is overlooked, aligning with Vanderbilt Maids' commitment to excellence.
- Excellent organizational skills to efficiently manage cleaning tasks and maintain a structured workflow, optimizing time management.
The hourly pay range is $14.75+, depending on experience
