Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting high school students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Your expertise will help students in grades 9 through 12 achieve their communication goals and succeed academically. This position offers a consistent schedule, beginning August 13, 2026, and concluding June 3, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience serving high school populations in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of adolescent language, articulation, fluency, and social-pragmatic needs
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
- Organized, adaptable, and skilled in maintaining documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students in grades 9–12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services, both individually and in small groups
- Monitor progress, update goals, and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and district standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and professional development as required
- Offer guidance and support to teachers and families on effective communication strategies
- Engage in ongoing collaboration with other related service personnel and school staff
