Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse Outpatient/Triage. This position is ideal for an RN with a strong background in clinic, primary care, and phone triage, who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The role includes patient assessments, telephone triage, administering injections, performing blood draws, coordinating care, and providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing services. Candidates should have recent outpatient experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to a new clinical environment.
Job Duties:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and phone triage.
- Evaluate patient symptoms and prioritize care needs.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations.
- Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to providers.
- Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR.
- Assist with outpatient procedures and patient flow.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of current Clinic/Primary Care RN experience
- 2+ years of current Phone Triage experience
- Adult Outpatient experience
- Experience with injections and blood draws
- Active NH or Compact RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- Athena EMR experience preferred
- Previous travel experience preferred
Pay: $2,200.00 per week
