Overview

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow, efficient cash handling, and accurate bookkeeping.
- Manage inventory control, including stock ordering, merchandising, pricing strategies, and loss prevention measures.
- Implement effective sales management techniques to meet or exceed sales targets through motivating staff and optimizing product placement.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and facilitate ongoing training & development programs to enhance team skills.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for seamless transactions.
- Oversee shift management, scheduling staff shifts to ensure proper coverage during peak hours while maintaining budget adherence.
- Utilize marketing strategies to promote store events and increase foot traffic.
- Maintain organizational standards by supervising stock stocking, merchandising displays, and inventory audits regularly.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and retail math.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, pricing strategies, and sales management tools.
- Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development initiatives.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with effective time management and organizational skills.
