Sous Chef
- This position requires work at both the Birmingham and Ferndale Toast locations
- Fill in for Kitchen Managers at each location on their days off and on the line as needed
- Train, mentor and support line cooks and kitchen team members
- Monitor food quality, portion control and plating standards
- Ensure food is prepared in accordance with safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with ordering, receiving and proper storage
- Help to control food and labor costs by minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen environment
Line Cook - Scope of Work Position Overview
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while ensuring and maintaining Toast standards for fresh, quality food with good presentation.
- Prepare food per Toast recipes while practicing portion control and minimizing food waste.
- Following and adhering to food safety and health regulations.
- Monitor inventory and inform manager of needs.
- Assist with receiving, rotating and proper storage of product.
- Opening stations, preparing food for each days' service, prepping throughout the day for your station
- Work area cleaning and sanitizing, ensuring daily and weekly cleaning tasks are complete, ensuring station is prepped and ready for the following day's service
Pay: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
