Elite is seeking a skilled and adaptable Medical Assistant floater to join our team full-time (40 hours per week) providing front and back-office support at our clinic in San Luis Obispo. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for offering comprehensive front and back-office assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of our healthcare clinic.

Graduate of a Medical Assistant certification program.

Proficient in medication administration, capillary and venipuncture.

Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care.

Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) procedures.

Strong organizational and attention to detail skills, with ability to adapt to working in different locations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals.

Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.

Assist with patient examinations and procedures.

Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.

Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.

Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.

Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and self-care techniques.

Schedule appointments, manage medical records, and handle forms.
