ESL Instructor – F2E Academy (Part-Time)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:45 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $21–$25 per hour
Position Summary
F2E Academy is seeking a committed and dynamic ESL Instructor to deliver high-quality English language instruction aligned with our approved curriculum, learning outcomes, and academic policies. The Instructor plays a key role in supporting student success through effective lesson delivery, assessment, and academic record management.
This position operates under the supervision of the Academic Director and must comply with institutional and accreditation standards.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstruction
- Deliver English language instruction aligned with approved curricula, syllabi, and learning outcomes
- Review and explain course syllabus, objectives, and expectations at the start of each session
- Follow established pacing guides and instructional schedules
- Plan and implement student-centered lessons that promote active participation
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with level-specific learning outcomes
Assessment and Evaluation
- Administer standardized block exams and program-approved assessments per the academic calendar
- Create and implement speaking tasks aligned with learning outcomes, prepare students for these assessments, and evaluate their demonstration of proficiency.
- Evaluate student work using institutional rubrics and grading criteria
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student progress
- Assign meaningful homework and reinforcement activities
- Maintain accurate grade records and submit documentation on time
- Apply grading practices consistently and fairly
Classroom and Program Management
- Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment
- Enforce the English-Only Policy during instructional time
- Record daily attendance accurately, including tardiness and early departures (SEVP compliance)
Professional Responsibilities
- Participate in required professional development
- Collaborate with faculty and academic staff
- Adhere to institutional policies and accreditation standards
- Perform additional instructional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- If degree is not in ESL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field, TESOL/TEFL certification is required (or must be obtained within 6 months)
- Minimum of 1 year of ESL teaching experience (adult learners preferred)
- Native or native-like English proficiency (assessed during interview)
- Speaking assessment may be required
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
