QUALIFICATION: Please do not apply unless you have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must possess knowledge or experience of machine shop or metal fabrication in a shop environment.
- Must possess knowledge or experience of hardware, fasteners and metal
Must have basic computer literacy in order to perform specific job functions including responding to emails and correspondence with suppliers. Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
- Must have good communication skills to understand specific customer needs and to ensure that employees understand the details of service work.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must possess good time management skills.
- Must have a positive attitude working well in a team environment and must cooperate with other personnel.
- Must have the ability to remain calm and courteous in an at times-busy environment while carrying themselves in a professional manner.
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screenings.
- Must have the ability to perform several duties at the same time.
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and do moderate walking and at times be able to lift and carry light weight parts and materials.
- Experience with operating forklift helpful but not required but must be willing to learn.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The primary contact for customer service labor and sales of steel and raw materials including mill and industrial supplies in our showroom.
- Point of sale purchases including credit card and check purchases following existing policies and procedures related to refund and return policies.
- Assist with purchasing re-stock and re-sale parts through existing vendors. Assist in monitoring shop productivity and quality control.
- Help with daily operations including receiving deliveries, restocking material, and other duties as assigned.
- Assist the accounting department as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
