Job Summary:
Lake Wylie High School is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Girls Lacrosse Coach. The successful candidate will assist the lead coach in every aspect of the program, promote positive team culture, and develop student-athletes both on and off the court.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead, organize, and supervise all aspects of the program, including practices, competitions, and off-season activities.
Assist in developing and implement a comprehensive program aligned with the school’s athletic philosophy.
Promote academic achievement, sportsmanship, and character development among student-athletes.
Assist overseeing athlete eligibility, safety, and compliance with district, state, and SCHSL regulations.
Engage with the school community, parents, and boosters to build support for the program.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level (head coach or assistant).
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate student-athletes and foster a positive culture.
Knowledge of rules, strategies, and safety standards.
Must meet background check requirements.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to move quickly and frequently around the court and locker rooms to supervise and instruct students.

Ability to remain standing for extended periods while observing, demonstrating techniques, and coaching during practices and matches.

Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, running, and other athletic movements to demonstrate skills or assist athletes.

Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull athletic equipment, gear bags, and training supplies.

Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) during practices and matches.

Ability to travel with teams to competitions, which may include nights and weekends.
Evaluation: Performance of the assistant position will be evaluated annually by the Head Coach, Athletic Director and reviewed by the Principal.
Compensation: Supplement based on the current Clover School District coaching supplement allotment for each sport.
