General Manager – Boutique Fitness Studio (Future Equity Opportunity)

This Is Not a Traditional Studio Manager Position. We're looking for a business leader.
PVOLVE Potomac is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead every aspect of our boutique fitness studio—from member hospitality and team leadership to sales performance, operational excellence, and business growth. You will function as an owner operator.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role. You will spend the majority of your day on the studio floor engaging with members, coaching your team, driving membership sales, and ensuring every client receives a world-class experience.
This position is intentionally demanding and is designed for someone who enjoys accountability, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and aspires to become a business owner—not simply an employee.

Responsibilities
- Lead all daily studio operations with an ownership mindset
- Serve as the face of the studio, greeting members and ensuring an exceptional hospitality experience
- Recruit, develop, coach, and hold instructors and staff accountable
- Drive membership sales, retention, referrals, and revenue growth
- Build lasting relationships with prospective, current, and former members
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, inventory, and operational systems
- Resolve member concerns professionally while protecting the studio's culture and reputation
- Execute community outreach, events, and local marketing initiatives
- Monitor key business metrics and continuously improve studio performance
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Business, Hospitality, Marketing, Exercise Science, or related field preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience with operational responsibility
- Demonstrated success leading teams and achieving measurable business results
- Strong sales, relationship-building, and customer service skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
Exceptional Candidates Often Have
- Experience managing a boutique fitness, hospitality, retail, medical, or luxury service business
- Previous responsibility for revenue, staffing, hiring, scheduling, and business performance
- Former business owner, entrepreneur, or General Manager with P&L responsibility
- Proven record of exceeding sales, retention, and customer satisfaction goals
