Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food preparation.
- Assist in menu planning to ensure balanced, appealing dishes that meet dietary needs and customer preferences.
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling practices during preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Support food production processes for high-volume meals while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and ensure timely meal delivery.
- Maintain kitchen organization, stock supplies, and assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
- Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, and culinary techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling.
- Extensive kitchen experience in restaurant settings or the food industry with fine dining experience preferred.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food safety management are essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of catering services, meal preparation standards, and serving protocols.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
