Envision Science Academy, a K–8 public charter school in Wake Forest, NC, is seeking passionate and reliable Substitute Teachers to join our dynamic team. Our school is rooted in project-based and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning, and we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about supporting students in a hands-on, innovative educational environment.
Position Overview:
As a Substitute Teacher at Envision Science Academy, you will have the opportunity to support students in Kindergarten through 8th grade across various subject areas. Substitutes will receive notifications of open assignments through our online scheduling system and may choose to accept full-day (8-hour) or half-day (4-hour) assignments based on their availability. Responsive and flexible professionals have the opportunity to pick up jobs as much as they like.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons and manage classroom activities using provided teacher lesson plans
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Follow the daily class schedule and school policies
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff as needed
- Ensure student safety and uphold classroom expectations
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children is required
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Associate’s degree or equivalent education is preferred
- Dependable, flexible, and professional
Required Training:
- Must attend an orientation training session at the school prior to working first substitute teaching date

Pay: $120.00 - $135.00 per day
